April 26, 2017 - The Mouser-sponsored No. 18 car, having taken an early lead in the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series, is eagerly preparing for the next big challenge at the Phoenix Grand Prix set for April 29. Expectations are soaring as the team took a commanding lead with a win at the season opener in St. Petersburg, Fla., and followed that up with a second-place finish in California at the Long Beach Grand Prix. Driver Sebastien Bourdais heads into Arizona on top of the standings with 117 points.

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is proud to partner with valued supplier Molex to sponsor the No. 18 Dale Coyne Racing Honda in this year's Verizon IndyCar Series. The 2017 season marks the 22nd season of the IndyCar Series and includes the 101st running of the famed Indianapolis 500, set for May 28.  The Mouser- and Molex-sponsored car won the Indianapolis 500 in 2013. Mouser first sponsored IndyCar racing in 2011 as an inventive way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies and how they affect the high-tech world of IndyCar racing.

"The team is off to a tremendous start, and we are excited as both sponsors and fans," said Todd McAtee, Mouser Electronics' Vice President, Americas Business Development. "The precision and performance of the new technologies in high-speed racing continue to amaze us season after season."

"Molex brings the same type of commitment to hard work and high performance as does Sebastien and the team," said Fred Bell, Vice President of Global Distribution for Molex. "As a sponsor of the Number 18 IndyCar with Mouser, we're highlighting our commitment to developing and applying new solutions that move the auto industry forward."

After Phoenix, the 2017 Championship series travels to the IndyCar Grand Prix May 13 in Indianapolis, followed by the 101st Indianapolis 500 on May 28, the Detroit Grand Prix June 3-4, and the Texas 600 on June 10 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The series will feature eight more events, culminating with the season finale September 17 at Sonoma, California.
