Texas Instruments SN74AHCT573 Octal Transparent D-Type Latches
Texas Instruments SN74AHCT573 Octal Transparent D-Type Latches that include inputs that are TTL-voltage compatible. The Q outputs follow the data (D) inputs when the latch-enable (LE) input is high. The Q outputs are latched at the logic levels of the D inputs when LE is low.
A buffered output-enable (/OE) input can be used to place the eight outputs in either the high-impedance state or a normal logic state (high or low). The outputs neither load nor drive the bus lines significantly in the high-impedance state. The high-impedance state and increased drive capability enable the bus lines to be driven without requiring interface or pull-up components.
To put the Texas Instruments SN74AHCT573 in the high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, tie /OE to VCC through a pull-up resistor. The current-sinking capability of the driver determines the minimum value of the resistor. /OE does not affect the internal operations of the latches. New data can be entered, or old data can be retained while the outputs are in the high-impedance state.
