Texas Instruments bq25773EVM Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments bq25773EVM Evaluation Module is configured to evaluate the operation of the bq25773, an I2C-controlled NVDC dual-phase buck-boost charge controller. The complete high-power high-efficiency battery charger has a 3.5V to 40V input voltage range with a programmable output of two to five cells and a charge current range of 0A to 16.3A. The TI bq25773EVM Evaluation Module does not include the EV2400 interface device; the EV2400 must be ordered separately to evaluate the bq2577x EVM.

Features

  • Supports 3.5V to 40V input source
  • Narrow VDC (NVDC) power path management
  • 600kHz or 800kHz switching frequency for a low-profile inductor
  • Power and current monitor for CPU throttling
  • Safety features: thermal protection, overvoltage, and overcurrent protection
  • Supports Vmin Active Protection (VAP) mode for Intel® platform

Applications

  • Standard notebook PC and Chromebook
  • Appliances
    • Battery charger
    • Oxygen concentrator

Required Equipment

  • Kit does not include the EV2400 interface device; the EV2400 must be ordered separately to evaluate the bq2577x EVM
