Schneider Electric XY2C Emergency Stop Rope Pull Switches
Schneider Electric XY2C Emergency Stop Rope Pull Switches are designed for essential premises and on machines that are potentially dangerous when operating. These switches reduce the risks that could cause injury to persons or damage either to machines or work in progress. The XY2C line of switches comes in a robust metal enclosure to use in severe environments and conforms to EN/ISO 13850 and EN/IEC 60947-5-5A. Applications include woodworking machines, shears, conveyor systems, printing machines, textile machines, rolling mills, test laboratories, paint shops, and surface treatment works.
XY2CJ, XY2CH, and XY2CE Switches with Single Anchor Point
The XY2CJ, XY2CH, and XY2CE Switches with Single Anchor Point come with a long cable (up to 20 x 70m with supports and pulleys). These switches are rugged and UL NiSD certified. The XY2CJ, XY2CH, and XY2CE Switches are easy to mount with the aid of simple, dedicated accessories (removable shim for adjusting cable tension, quick tensioner, cable tension indicator, etc).
XY2CED Switches with Double Anchor Points
The XY2CED Switches with Double Anchor Points are designed for long conveyor applications and come with a long cable (up to 2 x 100m with supports and pulleys). These switches are rugged and UL NiSD certified. The XY2CED switches are easy to mount with the aid of simple, dedicated accessories (removable shim for adjusting cable tension, quick tensioner, cable tension indicator, etc).
Basic Principles
The basic principles include three conditions i.e, positive condition, latching, and resetting. The Positive condition is the running condition where the switches incorporate positive opening operation contacts and the tripping of the switch being made with positive action. The Latching condition is a stop (tripped) instruction given to switch latches in the tripped position (NC safety contact(s) open). The function of the NO contact is purely for signaling. The Resetting: stop condition (awaiting reset/restart) incorporate a reset button, which re-closes the safety contact. The machine must only be restarted by manual operation of a control device within the machine start circuit, remote to the emergency stop.
