Renesas Electronics RX140 32-bit Ultra-Low-Power RXv2 MCUs
Renesas RX140 32-bit Ultra-Low-Power RXv2 Microcontrollers (MCUs) support the lowest power consumption while improving the general-purpose RX100 series. Enhanced performance is achieved with the switch from the RXv1 to the RXv2 core, which raises the clock rate from 32MHz to 48MHz. The RX140 achieved a CoreMark score of 204, a dramatic performance improvement over the RX130 CoreMark score of 108. RX140 operates with 1.8mA current consumption at 32MHz operation, reducing more than 30% from the RX130's current consumption of 3.1mA.
The Renesas RX140 meets the requirements to migrate to high-performance, high functionality MCUs while maintaining low power consumption, allowing customers to upgrade applications easily. In addition to enhanced specifications, the development assets of conventional products can be used to shorten the development period because of pin compatibility and using the target board from earlier evaluations. These MCUs are ideal for various applications, from home appliances to industrial and building automation, requiring low power consumption.
