onsemi Premier Reference Image Sensor Modules Ecosystem

onsemi Premier Reference Image Sensor Modules (PRISM) Ecosystem enables the development of intelligent, high-performance vision systems. The PRISM Ecosystem is a pre-optimized sub-system solution developed with onsemi’s industrial and commercial image sensors. This pre-tuned solution optimizes lens, sensor, and interface in a modular format. Additionally, any emerging sensors introduced by onsemi will include PRISM as a part of its standard deliverables. The modules, combined with hardware adapters and ecosystem partner development kits, can be used for prototyping purposes and shorten the prototype design process for faster time to market.

PRISM solves the traditional challenges that the user would encounter throughout the whole camera development phase. It provides a pre-validated imaging sub-system, a fundamental prototype camera with key image features, a universal interface to connect to major ISPs/SOCs, a pre-tuned image camera upon major ISPs/SOCs that are suited to target applications, and a camera module that is close to qualification to mass production needs.

Features

  • Uses a universal standardized connector providing flexibility between sensors
  • Offers adapters to connect seamlessly with various SoC platforms
  • Can be converted to Image Access System (IAS) from distributors for volume production
  • Single system to connect into AP/SOC platform and onsemi’s DevWare through PRISM’s Demo3 Adaptor for debugging
  • Quick hands-on with major SOC/AP platforms for quick and easy program development
  • Connect to pre-tuned ISPs, reducing R&D time in ISP tuning and optimizing

Applications

  • Machine vision
  • Security and surveillance cameras
  • Autonomous vehicles
  • Medical imaging
  • Industrial automation
  • Consumer electronics
