onsemi NCP43080 Synchronous Rectifier Controllers

onsemi NCP43080 is a synchronous rectifier controller for switch mode power supplies. The flexibility to drive assorted MOSFET package types and PCB layout are controlled by externally adjustable minimum off-time and on-time blanking periods. The SR system that is both reliable and noise less is protected due to the self-synchronization feature.

The onsemi NCP43080 controller permits high-efficiency designs for flyback and quasi-resonant flyback topologies. The NCP43080 synchronous rectifier controller also applies a Kelvin connection of the driver to the MOSFET to achieve high-efficiency operation at full load. This utilizes a light load detection architecture to achieve high efficiency at light load.
