Microchip Technology DSC8001 & DSC8003 Oscillators
Microchip Technology DSC8001 and DSC8003 Oscillators are silicon MEMS-based CMOS devices offering excellent jitter and stability performance over a wide range of supply voltages and temperatures. These devices operate from 1MHz to 150MHz in increments of 100Hz, up to four decimal point resolution. These Oscillators offer a supply voltage range between 1.8V to 3.3V and an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C.The DSC8001 Oscillator incorporates an all silicon resonator that is extremely robust and nearly immune to stress-related fractures, common to crystal-based oscillators. Without sacrificing the performance and stability required of today's systems, the DSC8001's crystalless design allows for a higher level of reliability, making the DSC8001 ideal for rugged, industrial, and portable applications where stress, shock, and vibration can damage quartz crystal-based systems. The DSC8003 has the same functionality and performance as the DSC8001 but with a greater output drive (CL=25pf).
Available in industry-standard packages, the Microchip Technology DSC8001 and DSC8003 Oscillators can be "dropped in" to the same PCB footprint as standard crystal oscillators.
