IXYS Fast Diodes
IXYS Fast Diodes offer a wide variety of solutions ranging from simple standard sub-assemblies to complicated multi-megawatt power systems. IXYS Fast Diodes feature fast- and soft-recovery diodes up to 6000V with 4300A (M-series) and high-power Sonic-FRD up to 6500V with 4200A (E-series). The 4.5kV E-series diodes incorporate silicon bonding technology for improved thermal characteristics and improved reliability.
The wide safe operating area (SOA) makes the E-Series ideal as freewheeling diodes for snubberless IGBT and IGCT applications. The comprehensive fast diode product range is excellent for many applications, including traction, medium voltage drives, induction heating, power conversion, and pulsed power applications.
