Infineon Technologies XENSIV™ KP497 Smart Barometric Pressure Sensor

Infineon Technologies XENSIV™ KP497 Smart Barometric Pressure Sensor measure the pressure of air and gases across various industries and applications. This sensor combines sensing functions and conversion into an electrical signal in one integrated silicon device. The KP497 pressure sensor supports a typical BMS pressure range of 20kPa to 250kPa. This sensor provides a z-axis acceleration sensor and atemperature sensor. The KP497 pressure sensor features a multi-phase, low-power autonomous state in which the sensor regularly performs pressure and/or acceleration measurements and evaluates user-defined thresholds.

The KP497 pressure sensor is operated as a digital sensor via the I²C or 3-wire SPI interface. This sensor offers 3kB of flash memory for storage and high-accuracy pressure sensing. The KP497 pressure sensor is AEC-Q100, Grade 1 qualified, and is RoHS compliant. Typical applications include Automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS), industrial control, weather stations, and altimeters.
