Infineon Technologies 48VFLYBACKDEMBRD 48V Flyback Demoboard

Infineon Technologies 48VFLYBACKDEMBRD 48V Flyback Demoboard is a solution for an isolated power topology ideal in 48V mild-hybrid applications. The 48VFLYBACKDEMBRD Board operates at 400kHz switching frequency in the 0-1A load range at 12V nominal output, the functional input voltage range is 6-35V.

The secondary side output voltage control is implemented via an auxiliary winding that avoids using galvanic isolated devices (e.g., optocouplers) to feed the sensed voltage. The AECQ-100 OPTIREG™ Switcher TLE8386-2EL is used as a flyback controller in combination with the primary switch IPD50N08S4-13 OptiMOS™-T2.

The controller's extended power supply range allows use in harsh automotive applications. The current mode control loop with a dedicated compensation pin permits a wide range of material variations. The Controller embeds some protection features, such as output overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and over-temperature shutdown, improving the system's reliability.
