Infineon Technologies CYPD3177 EZ-PD™ BCR Controllers

Infineon Technologies EZ-PD™ BCR USB Type-C™ Port Controllers target electronic devices with legacy barrel connectors up to 100W. The controllers can also use USB micro-B connectors to power rechargeable devices like drones, smart speakers, and power tools. The EZ-PD BCR controllers comply with the USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery (PD) standards. Convert devices from barrel connector to USB-C connector are powered with few external components. No firmware development is required.

A complete USB Type-C transceiver, USB PD policy manager, load switch controller with a soft start, all termination resistors required for a USB Type-C port, and system-level ESD protection are integrated into the Infineon EZ-PD BCR USB Type-C™ Port Controllers. The controllers are housed in a 24-pin QFN package.
