Hammond Manufacturing Type 4, 4X Mild Steel & Stainless Steel Consolets

Hammond Manufacturing Type 4, 4X Mild Steel and Stainless Steel Consolets are modular console systems that offer sloped surfaces for switches, indicator lights, and mounting keyboards. These consolets are used as a stand-alone enclosure and can be placed side by side with a base on a single plinth. The series 2000 Type 4, 4X consolets feature smooth lines and clean edges to provide a contemporary appearance. These consolets comply with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 (Stainless steel, add 4X) and CSA Type 3R, 4, 12, 13 (Stainless steel, add 4X) standards. The Type 4, 4X consolets also comply with UL 508A Type 3R, 4, and 12 (stainless steel, add 4X), EIA RS-310-E, IP66, and IEC 60529 standards.

Specifications

  • Construction:
    • Formed 14 gauge steel bodies with a 14 gauge steel door and lid
    • Smooth and continuously welded seams without knockouts or holes
    • Offered in 24", 36", 48", and 60"
    • Doors can be hinged from either side on 24" or 36" units
    • Body stiffeners are provided where required for increased strength and rigidity
    • Offered with 14 gauge 304 stainless steel bodies with 14 gauge 304 stainless steel door and lid
    • 24" and 36" widths have a single door on the front, whereas 48" and 60" widths have two outside hinged doors on the front
    • Includes solid sides and back, solid door on front, 3-point adjustable lid on sloped top (20°), and closed bottom with a removable access panel
    • Formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and containments
    • Door profiles provide increased strength and are pre-punched to provide mounting options
    • Slotted quarter-turn oil-tight latches secure the door and lid, with optional tamper-resistant and locking latches
    • Oil-resistant gaskets are permanently secured
    • Stainless steel models utilize stainless steel hardware
    • Includes internal stud locations for mounting optional inner panel
    • Door includes a bonding screw, and the enclosure includes a grounding stud
