Diodes Incorporated PI3EUSB1101 eUSB2 Digital I2C I/O Repeater

Diodes Incorporated PI3EUSB1101 eUSB2 Digital I2C I/O Repeater is a versatile and high-performance solution for interfacing between USB standards. The Diodes Inc. PI3EUSB1101 features low <80ps skew outputs and is compliant with the latest USB 2.0 and Embedded USB 2.0 (eUSB2) Physical Layer Specification Rev. 1.2. This dual-role capable repeater integrates configurable pull-down resistors on both eUSB2 and USB 2.0 ends, and pull-up resistors on the USB 2.0 port. The component supports all USB 2.0 speed modes, including high-speed (480Mb/s), full-speed (12Mb/s), and low-speed (1.5Mb/s), with auto-resume and asynchronous wake-up capabilities. PI3EUSB1101 provides a bus-keeper function for device wake-up in host mode and supports 1.2V I2C I/O with 4x I2C ID addresses.

With low 87mW power consumption during high-speed communication, the repeater also offers analog trimming for Tx amplitude, EQ, drive strength, and Rx sensitivity tuning. It ensures charger compliance with the ability to keep D+/D- lines in Hi-Z for APSD and supports chirp levels with specific voltage ranges. The device operates within a -40°C to +85°C temperature range and comes in a compact 12-ball WLCSP package.
