STMicroelectronics AEK-MOT-8DCMH98 Half-Bridge DC Motor Driver

STMicroelectronics AEK-MOT-8DCMH98 Half-Bridge DC Motor Driver is designed to drive eight configurable channels in half-bridge or four channels in full-bridge mode. This motor driver is based on the L99MH98 octal half-bridge predriver for brushed DC motor control applications. The AEK-MOT-8DCMH98 DC motor driver features up to 30A per channel in H-bridge configuration and 15A per channel in half-bridge configuration. This motor driver includes a six-layer board, with 2 oz copper thickness on the top and bottom layers featuring optimized current handling. The AEK-MOT-8DCMH98 DC motor driver supports two types of current measurement systems, such as the classical method and the indirect method.

The AEK-MOT-8DCMH98 DC motor driver provides supply voltage monitoring, charge pump voltage monitoring, temperature warning, and overtemperature shutdown. This driver offers three diagnostic functions on the load output to detect potential short-to-ground, short-to-battery, and open-load conditions when the L99MH98 is in the off state. The AEK-MOT-8DCMH98 DC motor driver can be connected to a microcontroller board, such as the AEK-MCU-C4M3, for SPI communication and current sensing. Typical applications include seat control, steering column adjustment, gas pedal adjustment, sunroof, sliding doors, window lift, washer pump, and central door lock.
