This compact pellistor is optimized for methane response for up to 5% volume in air and can detect other flammable gases and vapors. The sensor offers basic sensor performance to enable a suitable instrument to meet the various (Group 1) mining performance standards. The VQ548MP is intrinsically safe and features a low orientation effect and high resistance to mechanical shocks. The sensor is ATEX certified, IECEx certified, and UL recognized. Amphenol SGX Sensortech VQ548MP Catalytic Combustible Gas Sensor is ideal for use in battery operations and mining applications.
