Arduino.org 4 relays shield drives high power loads that cannot be connected to the digital I/O of the controller. The shield features 4 relays, with each relay providing 2 pole changeover contacts (NO and NC). The 2 changeover contacts have been put in parallel to increase the current limit of each output. 4 LED indicators display the state of each relay. 2 TinkerKit inputs, 2 TinkerKit outputs, and 2 TinkerKit TWI connectors are available on the shield.
